alkaline cleaner

A cleaning product with a pH above 8.5. Alkalis are used in products to remove oils and fats and include ammoniac, sodium and potassium hydroxide. Caution: Alkalis can damage skin and corrode and darken aluminum. Stronger alkalis are caustic . Alkalis may not be mixed with other cleaning products - combination with ammonia will cause lethal fumes.
