continuous improvement process (CIP)

The Continuous Improvement Process or CIP applies to products, processes and service quality. Adjustments are made through successivesmall steps of improvement. The CIP is a basic principle of quality management and an essential component of ISO 9001. Staff are trained to analyze and identify improvement potential.
Certification according to ISO 9001 prescribes organizational measures to implement the CIP and monitor and record the results. CIP is an obligatory component of quality management.
