guard dog
A dog which has been trained and approved for specific tasks (e.g. police, customs, rescue operations, military, private security) under the supervision of a dog trainer. Dog trainers must have completed training with certification. The deployment of guard dogs in Germany is regulated in section C7 of accident insurance (Berufsgenossenschaft) regulations.
