ISO 9001 is maintained by ISO, the International Organization for Standardization. The requirements for a quality management system include:
- determination of procedures;
- keeping adequate records;
- regular review of individual processes and corrective measures
- continuous improvement process (CIP)
- Certification to an ISO 9001 standard certifies that consistent business processes are being applied.
