passive house
A passive house is a building in which thermal comfort is maintained in summer and in winter without conventional heating or air conditioning systems. Heating needs are less than 15 kWh/m² and primary energy consumption including warm water and electricity, under 120 kWh/m² . The concept relies on reduction of energy loss/waste and controlled rate of air exchange.
